Ilić Design was founded in 2016. It is made up of a cheerful trio – mom Ana, dad Marijan, and little Korina, also known as Zuna (their eternal inspiration). ‘Young’, a bit crazy, and creative!!!

Ana: “I have always loved drawing and sewing, but my first love was numbers. After finishing university, I started working in finance and spent many years doing what I loved. However, a company reorganization and relocation led to the elimination of my position, which prompted me to consider how to channel my creativity into entrepreneurship.”

Marijan: “I’ve always loved working with wood. Ever since I was a child, I used to make bows, arrows, and similar toys for myself and my friends. From leftover roofing boards, I would craft garden loungers and repurpose an old baby crib, which Ana painted and personalized for our little girl. As my position at work was also being phased out, the logical next step was for us to join forces, take a risk, and dive into entrepreneurship… and that’s where our story begins.”

Our main focus has always been, and remains, the creation of children’s furniture inspired by Pikler, Montessori, and Waldorf educational principles

We focus on handmade production of beautiful pieces of furniture in small batches. We are proud to promote active and creative play, especially the development of gross motor skills

We draw inspiration for our products from nature

We wanted to create products that we would love to display in our own home and offer the same to every family

We pay great attention to design, ensuring that, in addition to functionality, which is our priority, the product is special, unique, and interesting

Our goal is for our products to encourage parents to engage with their children in exploration and foster parent-child interaction
